Madeleine Deirdre is a born and raised Angeleno. She earned her BA in Art, focusing on Graphic Design and Art History, but is a self-taught fine artist.

Her work is reflective of her life in Los Angeles as well as her professional background in Graphic Design, previously designing for iconic consumer brands like Guess? Inc. Her experience with consumer goods and graphic elements, specifically typography, is prevalent in the subjects she chooses to draw.

Her current work is done in graphite and charcoal, where she portrays subjects that require hyper realistic detail with materials that are typically harder to control- taking up to 100 hours to produce.

Deirdre’s practice is based entirely in Los Angeles, including the framers and printers she works with.
